There is a standing frame which you may use. You can see this opposite. This photo was taken one morning in January which is why you see the gas heater on. This gas heater is free for you to use but unless you stay in December, January, February or March you will not need to use it. See: Benefits of using standing frames (opens new window). There is a patient turner in the villa. This can be used to transfer a disabled person to a bed, the toilet or the sofa as required.

The Etac Patient Turner is a simple to use, practical aid to assist in the transfer from one seated position to another. It is designed for patients with a moderate degree of strength in both arms and legs. Height adjustable handle and independent,height adjustable knee supports.Handle height: 890mm (35") to 1260mm (49"). Weight: 15kg (21/22st). It will be in the back courtyard when you arrive.

We have been asked in the past if we can provide power-chairs, hoists and shower-chairs for our guests. We have been searching in the local area for a mobility company and can now announce that Freedom Mobility can provide all of the above items and many more besides to hire at very competative rates. They are located in the neighbouring Urbanisation of Camposol. This is a 10 minute drive down the RM3 motorway but they have said they would deliver and collect all items free of charge. You may contact them directly (See their website above) or we can arrange all equipment hire for you by contacting them ourselves.
In addition to the items Freedom Mobility can provide for hire and the basic facilities which are accessible for disabled people in the villa (which are all detailed elsewhere on this website) there is a standard sized shower chair which you may use. You can see opposite that the chair fits over the toilet and also fits next to the 'fold up' shower stool to enble two separate showerng methods. You may prefer to shower outside in the private back courtyard too. The back courtyard has been specially fitted out for this purpose.
	There is a transfer board available. In the extreme heat you may find transfering from your wheelchair very energy sapping. You may find this very useful. You will find it in the back bedroom cupboard when you arrive.
