Puerto de Mazarron Shopping : This provides for holiday essentials as well as gifts and souvenirs. Those wishing for a wider choice of goods can take a bus to Cartagena [access not known] where you will find a wide range of shops from department stores to specialist shops and designer boutiques. The city also has a fairly new shopping mall, Parque Mediterraneo, on the outskirts of the town where there are many of the multinational fashion chains and well known High Street stores. The old town in Cartagena has many quaint tourist shops where you can buy the usual gifts and souvenirs. Popular purchases include leather goods, pottery, embroidered linens and lace, as well as basket ware and jewellery.

Golf : There is a beautiful 18 hole golf course at La Manga (50 minutes away). There is an 18 hole golf course also at Fuento Alamo (35 minutes away) and 9 & 18 hole golf courses at Camposol (20 minutes away). This has an excellent club house. The fees for a round is cheaper than other courses in Spain - about 45 euros for 18 holes. For those with less time, 9 holes will cost about 25 euros.
